TMUCIH Delegation visited The National Cancer Center in Japan

On June 28, 2019, Prof. Jihui Hao, Vice President of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital (TMUCIH), led an academic delegation to visit the National Cancer Center Hospital (NCCH) in Tokyo, Japan where the leaders warmly welcomed TMUCIH, and both sides had a friendly exchange and dialogue. Vice President Jihui Hao presented the memorial stamp of Prof. Xianzhai Jin, the Founder of Chinese Oncology, to Prof. Toshirou NISHIDA, Director of NCCH, and introduced him to the history of TMUCIH and the life of Prof. Xianzhai Jin.

Accompanied by Prof. Kazuaki Shimada, Vice President of NCCH, the delegation visited operation rooms, the supportive care development center, outpatient clinics, emergency departments, and had an in-depth exchange on the latest progress of Hepatic-biliary-pancreatic cancer.

  During the visit, the delegation was introduced to the special service section of NCCH: the Supportive Care Development Center, which was established in 2016, and aims to provide medical and supportive care to improve the quality of life of cancer patients. The service includes rehabilitation, dietary guidance, guidance for dealing with chemotherapy and its side effects, and social security and employment consultations.

Vice President Jihui Hao also invited President Toshirou NISHIDA to visit our hospital to promote substantive cooperation between the two sides. This visit has enhanced our mutual understanding and has laid a good foundation for our future cooperation. We will take this opportunity to expand cooperation on clinical exchanges, basic research and training programs.
