During the 14th Five-Year Plan, the development pattern of a"Dual city comprising Tianjin and Tianjin Binhai New Area" is one of the main goals of the economic and social development of Tianjin, and the construction of the Binhai Hospital of Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital (TMUCIH) is also one of the key supporting projects of the government of Tianjin Binhai New Area. This year marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, and coincides with the 160th anniversary of the establishment of Tianjin Cancer Hospital. The hospital thoroughly studied and implemented the spirit of the Sixth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, and further practiced the work ethic of "doing practical things for the people". The official opening ceremony of the Binhai Hospital of TMUCIH was held on December 28, 2021.

After the opening ceremony, Binhai Hospital of TMUCIH held a large-scale free oncological expert consultation activity for three consecutive days from December 28th to 30th, and dozens of well-known experts from the Departments of Thyroid and Neck Cancer , Hepatobiliary Cancer, Thoracic Medical Oncology, Lymphoma, Breast Cancer Medical Oncology, Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology, Gastroenterological Cancer, Hematology, etc. came to Binhai Hospital to deliver health services to the "doorstep" of the people of Binhai New Area.
The Binhai Hospital of TMUCIH is one of the key supporting projects for the Binhai New Area Government in the 2014 investment plan, and is an important measure of success to implement the development pattern of "Dual city between Tianjin and Tianjin Binhai New Area" formulated by the Tianjin Municipal Government.
The Binhai Hospital of TMUCIH covers a total construction area of 150,000 square meters with 1,200 planned beds. The first phase of the project will start trial operations on January 4, 2022, focusing on the opening of seven comprehensive tumor outpatient clinics, including Breast Cancer Medical Oncology, Thoracic Medical Oncology, Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology, Lymphoma, Hematology, Biotherapy, and Synergistic Chinese and Western Medicine. Our hospital’s experts visit the clinics every day from Monday to Friday. The Binhai Hospital is also equipped with Pharmacy, Electrocardiographic Room, Ultrasound Room, Laboratory Medicine Department and other related medical and technical departments. At a later stage, based on the actual medical needs of Binhai residents, the ward settings will be continuously opened up, so that the people of Binhai New Area can enjoy high-quality diagnosis and treatment services on their doorstep.
TMUCIH thoroughly implements the decision-making and deployment of the CPC Central Committee, actively docks with the Tianjin "14th Five-Year Plan" , gives full play to the leading role of large public hospitals, and practices the concept of people's health as central, while moving determinedly forward.
