On July 24th, Tianjin Medical University Cancer Institute & Hospital(TMUCIH) held a lecture on the National Government-Sponsored Overseas Study Programs and International Talent Development Projects, in order to deeply implement the "Talent-Strengthening Hospital" strategy, further advance the construction of a high-level talent team in the hospital, and encourage outstanding innovative talents and young innovative excellent talents selected by the Shuren Talents Plan to participate widely in international academic exchanges. TMUCIH invited Ms. Cui Jing, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Tianjin Medical University, and Ms. Zhang Lu to provide a detailed introduction of the policies and requirements of the National Government-Sponsored Overseas Study Programs and International Talent Development Projects. Mr. Zhang Xiaoliang, Vice President of TMUCIH, Ms. Liu Shasha, Director of the Party Committee Office and Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, Ms. Yao Xihao, Director of the Office of Human Resources, and representatives of outstanding innovative talents and young innovative excellent talents from the Shuren Talents Plan of TMUCIH attended the meeting.
Ms. Liu Shasha, Director of the Party Committee Office and Deputy Director of the Foreign Affairs Office, presided over the lecture, hoping that this lecture could further stimulate the enthusiasm for self-development of talents in various disciplines. The Human Resources Office and the Foreign Affairs Office will work together to actively strive for more international research programs to support the Shuren Talents Plan of TMUCIH and promote the construction of the hospital's talent team.
Ms. Cui Jing, Director of the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Tianjin Medical University, introduced the general situation of the National Government-Sponsored Overseas Study Programs and the International Talent Development Projects, hoping to continue to promote the work of talent international cooperation and training projects, to provide more and better exchange and research platforms for professional and technical personnel in the hospital.
Ms. Zhang Lu, the International Exchange and Cooperation Office of Tianjin Medical University, gave a lecture on the topic of "Deeply Exploring Resources, Deepening Cooperation, and Deeply Participating - Cultivating Medical Talents with International Competitiveness."Ms. Zhang introduced the measures taken by Tianjin Medical University in developing a cooperative network, introducing high-quality educational resources, building high-level exchange platforms, and sending teachers and students for overseas exchange and research. At the same time, she detailed the existing international exchange projects of the University, including senior research scholars, visiting scholars, postdoctoral programs, excellent talent international training projects, innovative talent international cooperation and training projects, etc., and fully explained how to build high-level exchange platforms and expand the channels for clinical research personnel to go abroad for exchange and research.
Talent representatives attending the lecture inquired about issues related to overseas exchange and study according to the content of the lecture and their actual situations. The frequent interaction and warm response at the scene fully demonstrated the talent representatives’ high attention to international exchange and cooperation projects and the development of oncological medicine.
In the concluding speech, Vice President Zhang Xiaoliang emphasized: Firstly, we attach importance to international academic exchange work. International exchange is an essential path for the growth of the hospital’s talents and an indispensable part of the "Talent-Strengthening Hospital" strategy. Secondly, talents should fully use their initiative. Hospital talents should actively seek more opportunities for "bringing in and going out" and grasp the international exchange chances provided by the hospital and the university. Thirdly, inter-hospital and inter-university cooperation should reinforce each other. Inter-hospital and inter-university cooperation should be coordinated to open up channels and build a multi-level and wide-ranging international exchange platform, cultivate talents with an international perspective and international communication skills, create an internationalized disciplinary team, and continuously enhance the international influence of TMUCIH.
