Dr. Zhu graduated from the department of clinical medicine in Tianjin Medical University in 1984. Afterwards, she worked in the department of radiation oncology in Tianjin Cancer Hospital, at present as chief physician and associate director.

From 1992 to 1993, Dr. Zhu received further training in the radiation oncology insititute in Basel University in Swizerland. In addition, she studied in the department of radiotherapy in Tokyo KEIO University in Feb, 2002.

Dr. Zhu specializes in radiotherapy for every kind of malignancies althrough the body, especially radiotherapy in combination with intraluminal hyperthermia for esophageal cancer, rectal cancer and cervical cancer, radiotherapy in combination with regional microwave hyperthermia for postoperative chest wall recurrence of breast cancer or superficial lymph node metastasis, and definitive radiotherapy for early breast cancer patients undergoing breast conservative surgery, i.e. tangential breast irradiation. Besides, Dr. Zhu is able to treat recurrent or refractory malignancies with stereotactic radiotherapy, i.e. X-knife, proficiently.

Dr. Zhu has led or been engaged in several subjects, from municipal science-committee-level, university-level to hospital-level and achieved the municipal reward of science and technology progress as well as university reward of technological outcome for many times. She has joined in compiling two professional works and published several papers.
